The Indigo Canyons: Dafina Bay, Bear’s Bay & The Hidden Caves

1 — Departure & Haxhi Aliu Cave

We depart from Vlorë and cruise toward the Karaburun Peninsula. Our first stop is the iconic Haxhi Aliu Cave, where we enter by boat to admire its giant sea dome, blue reflections, and natural rock formations.

2 — The Indigo Canyons Coastal Exploration

Western Karaburun panoramic cruise | 1h 30 min

After Haxhi Aliu Cave, we continue toward the wild western side of Karaburun and begin a slow panoramic coastal exploration.

This is one of the most scenic parts of the tour: we navigate close to the shoreline, entering and admiring the dramatic gorges, caves, and cliff formations of the Ionian side.

Along the route, we pass through and admire:

• Plain Cave

This is not a beach stop, but a slow immersive coastal navigation, designed to fully enjoy the beauty of the Marine Park’s Ionian side.

3 — Dafina Bay & Dafina Cave

Beach, cave & snorkeling | 1 hour 15 min

We arrive at Dafina Bay, one of Karaburun’s most beautiful hidden bays. Here guests have time to relax on the beach, snorkel in clear water, and explore the impressive Dafina Cave.

This is one of the signature stops of the tour and a perfect blend of beach time and cave exploration.

4 — Secret Wreck Snorkeling Spot

Hidden coastal snorkeling stop | 30 min

After Dafina Bay, we continue to a secret snorkeling location along the coast, where we discover an old cargo ship wreck from the communist period.

The wreck lies in shallow water, approximately 3 to 5 meters deep, near a cave, making it a fascinating snorkeling site for those who want to explore something truly unique underwater.

5 — Bear’s Bay

Beach & snorkeling stop | 1 hour

We then continue to Bear’s Bay, one of the most spectacular and wild beaches of Karaburun.

Here we stop for about 1 hour, giving guests time to enjoy the beach, snorkel in the clear Ionian water, and take in the dramatic untouched scenery of this remote bay.

6 — Return to Vlorë

After Bear’s Bay, we begin the return journey to Vlorë.

This final ride completes a full 6-hour Ionian expedition through some of the most scenic coastal formations, caves, bays, and snorkeling spots of Karaburun.
