I. The Independence Walk: Sheshi Pavarësia to Muradie

Walking time: around 30–45 minutes

The Experience:
We begin at Sheshi Pavarësia, the symbolic heart of Albania’s independence story, and continue slowly along the main boulevard toward the historic center of Vlorë.

The Refinement:
This is not just a walk from one point to another. It is the “Independence Walk” — a guided introduction to the city’s layers: Ottoman heritage, Albanian independence, Italian-era architecture, communist urban traces, and the modern transformation of Vlorë.

The Moment:
A slow-paced walk with stops along the boulevard to observe buildings, monuments, and the changing identity of the city.

II. The Sacred Landmark: Muradie Mosque & Old Aulon

Stop time: around 15–20 minutes

The Experience:
We stop near the Muradie Mosque, one of the most iconic landmarks of Vlorë’s historic center. The mosque is not always open for interior visits, so the stop is usually focused on the exterior, photos, and historical explanation.

The Refinement:
We frame this stop as “The Sacred Landmark of Old Vlorë.” Around this area, guests can feel the connection between the Ottoman city, the old urban core, and the deeper traces of ancient Aulon.

Nearby context:
This area also connects naturally with the story of important Vlorë families and figures, including the nearby heritage connected with Eqerem Bej Vlora.

The Moment:
A short photo and storytelling stop near Muradie Mosque and the remains of old Aulon.

III. The Old Town Walk: Muradie & Museum Street

Walking time: around 30 minutes

The Experience:
We continue into the old town area around Muradie and Museum Street, where the city becomes more intimate: narrow streets, restored facades, cafés, souvenir shops, and traces of different historical periods.

The Refinement:
This is the “Living Old Town” part of the tour. Instead of presenting Vlorë only through monuments, we show how history still lives in the street atmosphere — old houses, small shops, cafés, and daily local life.

The Moment:
A relaxed walk through Museum Street, with time to notice details, take photos, and browse local souvenir shops.

IV. Coffee Pause: Museum Street or Kuzum Baba

Flexible stop: around 15–20 minutes

The Experience:
Depending on the pace of the group, weather, and guest preference, we include a short coffee or refreshment stop.

Option 1:
A coffee stop on Museum Street, surrounded by the old town atmosphere.

Option 2:
A coffee stop later at Kuzum Baba Terrace, with panoramic views over Vlorë and the bay.

The Refinement:
This keeps the tour flexible. On hot days, it may be better to stop earlier in the old town. On clearer days, the view from Kuzum Baba makes the coffee stop more memorable.

V. Historical Museum of Vlorë

Visit time: around 20 minutes

The Experience:
We visit the Historical Museum of Vlorë, a small but meaningful museum that introduces guests to the wider history of the city and region.

The Refinement:
The visit is short and focused. Instead of overwhelming guests with too much information, we use the museum as a bridge between what they have already seen in the city and the bigger story of Vlorë’s role in Albanian history.

Important note:
The Ethnographic Museum is currently not included in the tour because it is under reconstruction and not available for visits.

VI. The Climb to Kuzum Baba: The Natural Balcony of Vlorë

Climb time: around 20 minutes up
Descent time: around 15–20 minutes down

The Experience:
We climb the stairs to Kuzum Baba Terrace, a natural hilltop viewpoint overlooking Vlorë, the bay, the port, the city, and the surrounding mountains.

The Refinement:
This is the “Viewpoint of the City.” After walking through the old and historic layers of Vlorë, guests finish by seeing the whole city from above.

The Moment:
A spectacular panoramic view of Vlorë Bay — the perfect final photo stop and closing reflection of the tour.
